Getting Hands On with Automated Visual Inspection Concepts using AI-Based Smart Cameras
CEC Archives | CEC Semester Twenty Five 2024 | Getting Hands On with Automated Visual Inspection Concepts using AI-Based Smart Cameras
CEC participants will explore the world of automated visual inspection concepts with the Teachable Machine platform. The basics of class and training models will be discussed through the lens of an image classifier. Industrial quality assurance application concepts will be provided through hands-on lab activities.
In this Day 2 webinar session, CEC participants will learn about an automated visual inspection system structure by reviewing research literature and the Teachable Machine platform. The hands-on session will present developing an automated visual inspection workflow, data collection, webcam setup, and Python reporting concepts.
The M5Stack AI-V Camera’s basic functions will be discussed in this Day 3 webinar session. The V-Function model used in the M5Stack AI-V Camera will be presented based on the research literature and ChatGPT. A prototype automated visual inspection concept will be presented in this topic discussion. Participants will learn to build an object detection device based on the automated visual inspection concepts presented.
Participants will learn the basics of the Pixy2 Camera aided by the Pixymon software through hands-on learning activities. Object/features training of the camera will be discussed in this Day 4 session.
In this final session, participants will assemble the Pan/Tilt unit for an automated tracking and visual inspection device. The assembly steps and setup procedures will be presented and demonstrated in this hands-on project activity.
